Minchau Child Care Centre strives to provide a safe and caring environment to all the children aged 0 – 12 years.

We understand that each child is unique and deserves an environment that encourages growth in many different ways. Our program will provide opportunities for all levels of development and types of learning through play. We promote independence, creativity, and mutual respect for others. We are following FLIGHT Early Learning and Care Curriculum Framework, which is an active , exploratory, creative, expressive process, deeply embedded in children’s everyday experiences and through which children participate in, learn about and actively make sense of the world.

Minchau Child Care Centre staff members work together as a close knit team to provide quality child care to our families. We support our families, recognizing that parents are the child’s primary caregiver. Safety within the program is of the utmost importance.

Our Programs

Baby Program

Welcome to our Baby Program (0 months to 19 months old)

A baby is as pure as an angel and as fresh as a blooming flower. Children enter the world full of potential and our baby room curriculum offers environments which are creating safe, nurturing place in which all children can grow and develop their unique gifts is a responsibility of all adult members of a society. Relationships are formed through every day interactions between people, our little ones home room is the exact place where we realizes the importance of the positive serve- and – return interactions throughout a child’s life.

Toddler Program

Welcome to our Toddler Program (19 months to 3 years old)

Quality care in the early years is critical for brain development and establishing neurological pathways that help develop children’s ability to think and make sense of their world. Our Toddler curriculum is developed around the child’s emerging needs and interests. It is implemented in a low pressure, stimulating learning environment that nurtures the social, emotional, physical, creative, and intellectual development of the whole child, and empowers him/her to grow into an independent, happy, confident, and self-motivated child.

Preschool Program

Welcome to our Preschool Program (3 to 5 years old)

The family has the primary responsibility for their children’s well-being and development. Families have a right to fully participate in their child’s program.The Preschool Room is very family orientated and invite families to join in as much as possible. The children learn through their daily play experiences and by actively participating in all aspects of this program. Program plans and themes are chosen by observing children’s needs and interests. Activities are age appropriate and inclusive of children’s differences

Kinder Age Program

Welcome to our Kinder Age Program (5 to 6 years old)

In our Kinder Room we focus on child-centered programming. We provide stimulating learning materials, meaningful activities, creative play experiences and interactions that emerge from the children’s interests to promote their learning and development. We offer differentiated teaching methods to meet the needs of each individual child. Children are encouraged to be more independent, and also to work cooperatively as classmates. Our goal is for every child to succeed, to grow and to develop to his or her full potential. Children that attend half day Kindergarten can be transported by our daycare van. It is important to notify us of which school you plan to register your child, as we are only able to transport to certain Kinder programs due to timelines.

Out of School Care Program

Welcome to our Out of School Care Program (6 to 12 years old)

At Minchau Out of School Care , we build on and support the foundation of family and community. We provide quality care striving continually to meet the ever-changing needs of the children and their families. The environment stimulates and encourages physical and cognitive development. The program reflects the diverse needs of the children, celebrates and recognizes the variety of cultural backgrounds. The children are fully involved in the development of the daily program, routines, and rules.

The Centre works hard at keeping the lines of communication open between staff, parents, & children. Parents are always welcome at the Centre and are encouraged to join us on any or all outings. Staff members engage in professional development/growth throughout the year on various topic to ensure the on-going learning in our field. The staff at Minchau provide the children with unique opportunities of play, positive guidance, reassurance in their thoughts and listen to their opinions, incorporate family and community and most importantly have fun and enjoy all the children.

Philosophy
